Community Service

Making a Difference,
Having Fun

At Pride Port Ludlow, community service isn't just about work; it's about coming together, making connections, and having a great time while making a positive impact. Here are some recent examples of how we've served our community:

Angel Team: Spreading Love and Support

Pride Port Ludlow's "Angel Team" recently partnered with Olympic Angels, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting foster families in Jefferson County. Our goal? To bring smiles and relief to families in need.

We provide home-cooked meals, heartfelt gifts for special occasions, rides, personalized notes, and essential food and grocery supplies. Our support not only reduces the burden on local foster families but also helps keep children in stable environments, preventing disruptive moves to new locations, schools, or families. By offering our helping hands, we make life easier for foster children and their families, creating a stronger, more caring community.

Our Angels cherish the experience of putting together our monthly "LoveBox." We believe in supporting local children in foster care and their families through intentional giving, mentorship, and relationship building.

Pride Builders: Building Homes, Building Dreams

Pride Port Ludlow's "Pride Builders" have teamed up with Olympic Pride and Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County. Together, we work toward a common goal: building affordable housing for individuals and families in need throughout our community.

Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County empowers families and individuals by providing affordable homeownership opportunities. We take pride in supporting this important effort that brings us all closer to a world where everyone has a decent place to call home.

Road Warriors: Keeping Our Community Clean and Green

Our "Road Warriors" have adopted a 2-mile stretch of Oak Bay Road to keep our beautiful surroundings clean and tidy. But it's not all about work; we turn it into a fun and rewarding experience.

We usually gather around 10 AM, split into teams heading North and South, and later regroup to share stories and enjoy some friendly competition. Who collected the "biggest haul" or found the "most interesting item"?

Jefferson County stands by our side, providing safety signage, equipment, bags, and free disposal of the trash we collect. Join us for a few hours a few times a year to make a real difference in our community. Afterward, we cap off our efforts with a celebratory lunch – a perfect way to relax and reflect on our meaningful work together. Come and be a part of it!
